About the role

The Programmer will support the configuration, enhancement, and maintenance of the STARS tax processing application within the FAST GenTax environment. This role is responsible for analyzing requirements, developing and testing code, resolving production issues, and implementing system changes using C#, PostgreSQL, Visual Studio, and FAST GenTax technologies.

Responsibilities

• Configure and enhance the STARS application within the FAST GenTax platform.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and design software solutions.
• Develop, test, debug, and document code changes using C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues while adhering to GenTax programming standards.
• Implement SQR change requests and system enhancements within the FAST GenTax environment.
• Track and manage code changes using the Fast Central Repository (FCR).
• Participate in structured code reviews, walkthroughs, and quality assurance activities.
• Collaborate with software developers and project team members to ensure successful delivery of enhancements and fixes.
• Follow established project standards, development methodologies, and documentation requirements.
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality deliverables.

Requirements

• FAST Enterprise platform experience (GenTax, Fast DS-VS, Fast UI-PL, or Fast CSE) – 2+ years
• Fast Core Components experience
• C#, PostgreSQL, and Visual Studio development experience
• 5+ years of programming experience
• Experience supporting tax/revenue processing applications and implementing production enhancements/fixes
• Strong troubleshooting, testing, and code review experience

Pay

The pay range for this position is $62-72 per hour, working 40 hours per week on a remote schedule.
