Programme Manager – SCM/DEL/PROGMPL01

Hybrid role based in Nottingham with an expectation of two days per week on site.

About the role

NHS Supply Chain is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to join our Supply Chain Modernisation programme during a period of complex transformation. This role will drive the successful delivery of multi-disciplinary projects or a sub-programme, ensuring alignment with long-term transformation goals and organisational vision. The programme will impact multiple parts of the organisation, customers, and suppliers, with effective delivery critical to realising expected benefits and outcomes for patients, customers, and the business.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex projects or a sub-programme within the Supply Chain Modernisation Programme, ensuring alignment to programme objectives and priorities.
• Oversee large-scale operational, technology, digital, and knowledge-related programmes and projects, ensuring successful integration across people, process, data, and technology.
• Ensure consistent control and alignment across multiple sub-programmes, projects, or workstreams.
• Drive delivery against time, quality, and cost from both an individual project and overarching programme perspective.
• Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies, developing and escalating mitigation plans as required.

Requirements

• Recognised programme or project management qualification (e.g., MSP Foundation/Practitioner, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ, or equivalent).
• Significant experience delivering large-scale projects, programmes, or business transformation initiatives.
• Experience managing multiple interdependent projects and workstreams within a structured delivery framework.
• Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience managing risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.

Pay

Starting salary of £65,920 with potential to increase to £77,553 over three years, plus a car allowance of £7,000.
