About SPIDER

The Department of Computer and System Science (DSV) is one of Sweden’s oldest departments within IT and is Stockholm University’s largest department. SPIDER (the Swedish Program for ICT in Developing Regions) is an independent centre at the Department of Data and System Science (DSV), Stockholm University that focuses on the digitilization of international development cooperation.

About the role

The employment is full-time with a 12 month limit. Starting as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Compile previously accumulated results from research projects and make these available to a wider public.
• Handle bi-lateral collaborations with Swedish partner countries.
• Plan, administer, follow up results of the research part of projects for all thematic areas and evaluate new partnerships.
• Communicate research results orally and in writing.
• Budget follow-up of research project collaborations including the annual audit.
• Represent and organize SPIDER in various national and global digital development projects (ICT4D) activities in research, e.g. seminars and conferences.
• Participate in ICT4D training activities.
• Work with overall budget planning and future visions for SPIDER.
• Participate in application preparation for other funding routes.
• Develop thematic areas and maintain close contacts with researchers and other organizations important to the field, nationally as well as internationally.
