About the role
The Program Supervisor – DBE & SBE position is responsible for overseeing the implementation and administration of the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program, and DBE/SBE Supportive Services. The position involves monitoring and reporting compliance with applicable standards and requirements. Occasional travel to program sites, conferences, and trainings is required.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and report compliance with federal and state regulations for DBE and SBE programs.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for DBE and SBE programs.
- Manage and supervise a team of four employees.
- Occasionally travel to program sites, conferences, and trainings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communication, Education, Social Sciences, or a closely related field.
- 3 years of experience in program management, reporting and analysis, and general accounting practices.
- 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
- Experience in building relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures as well as internal and external agency contacts.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate information to develop policies and/or guides.
- Concepts and theories of program planning, administration specifically federally funded programs.
- Proficient in Excel.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay
The advertised salary includes a 2.5% increase passed by the 2025 MT State Legislature regarding the state pay plan effective July 1, 2026.
Schedule
Hybrid remote work arrangement available.

- Successful applicants will be required to sign a release form which authorizes the Department to obtain the applicant’s permanent driving records.
