About the role

The Victim Services Program Supervisor oversees daily operations of Victim Services Programs, directly supervises staff, interns, and volunteers, and ensures contract compliance, quality assurance, and timely service delivery. The role will also provide direct client services and support.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day program operations.
  • Provide direct services to program clients as needed, which may include maintaining a small caseload, facilitating groups, conducting intakes/assessments, safety planning, advocacy, referrals, and other service supports.
  • Ensure contract compliance and quality assurance.
  • Supervise, coach, and support staff, interns, and volunteers.
  • Support staff onboarding, training, scheduling, and day-to-day guidance to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Prepare and complete required program reports and documentation, including invoices, billing, monthly client outcome reports, and other funder-required reports.
  • Prepare for and facilitate internal and external audits/site visits.
  • Maintain caseloads and productivity.
  • Review staff documentation and ensure client records are accurate, complete, timely, and maintained in accordance with agency, funder, quality assurance, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Cookordinate service delivery, referrals, and client flow to support timely and appropriate services.
  • Provide program and didactic training.
  • Assist with grant proposals and renewals.
  • Ensure agency and program policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and agencies.
  • Monitor program budget and fiscal documentation.
  • Conduct performance evaluations.
  • Address staff performance concerns in collaboration with leadership and support corrective follow-up as needed.
  • Attend agency-wide, program and other community meetings.
  • Provide direct client services and support as needed.
  • Ensure that legal and ethical standards are met for clients.
  • Participate in case reviews and consultations.
  • If licensed, provide clinical guidance and supervision of staff and interns.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Human Services, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, or related field required; equivalent experience in victim services, advocacy, or program management may be considered.
    • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of two years of experience providing direct services, advocacy, case management, or related support to diverse, low-income, and/or underserved clients.
    • Minimum of two years of experience supervising staff and overseeing domestic violence case management services required.
    • Familiarity with community resources and experience working with diverse and historically underserved communities, including people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, male victims, immigrants, and limited-English-speaking clients.
    • Experience working with victims of crime, domestic violence, and/or individuals impacted by trauma.
    • Licensing/Certification Requirements: Forty (40) Hour Domestic Violence certification, highly desired. Negative tuberculosis screen (required).

      Skills

      • Knowledge of trauma-informed, survivor-centered, and culturally responsive practices, including safety planning, confidentiality, mandated reporting, and advocacy for victims of crime.
      • Knowledge of risk factors affecting victims of crime.
      • Familiarity with domestic violence, child abuse, and other forms of victimization.
      • Understanding the criminal justice system is beneficial.
      • Strong communication, writing and organizational skills.
      • Ability to exercise independent judgment.
      • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable.
      • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic records/databases, email, and online meeting platforms.

        Compensation In accordance with California law, the expected pay range for this position is posted with this position. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

        Pay

        Salary Range: $75,000 - $81,000

        Schedule

        HOURS PER WEEK: 40
