Program Supervisor
Position Details
Pay Range: Starts at $19.50/hr - 22.77/hr. PLUS additional compensation: Shift differential (up to $2.00 / hour). Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour). Credit for higher education ($.48/hr for Bachelors degree; $.72 / hr for Masters degree).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision of clients
- Serve as a supervisor to support staff in meeting residents' needs
- Demonstrate leadership and delegate tasks to Direct Support Professionals
- Ensure staff are actively engaging with individuals and assist with crises when needed
- Conduct 10-minute safety checks and document observations
- Perform contraband checks (room sweeps for sharps/dangerous items)
- Oversee medication management (administer, verify ingestion, and document)
- Document daily activities and behaviors in shift notes
- Prepare meals, including cooking, proper food storage, and occasional grocery shopping
- Maintain cleanliness of facility grounds, residents’ rooms/bathrooms, kitchen, and laundry
- Transport individuals to school, appointments, and community outings
- Communicate effectively with the clinical treatment team and day program leadership
Education Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Post-secondary education is preferred.
Experience
- Prior behavioral health experience is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in a residential treatment center is preferred.
- At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred.
Other Requirements
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
- Successfully pass a Level 2 background screening with the State of Florida.
- Valid driver's license. Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers).
- Willingness to be on call 24/7.
