What You'll Do
- Oversee the daily operations of one or more residential homes
- Ensure services align with Individual Support Plans (ISPs), Behavior Support Plans, and company policies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-maintained home environment
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure proper shift coverage
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing performance feedback
- Address employee concerns and implement corrective action when necessary
- Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation including progress notes and incident reports
- Participate in audits, licensing reviews, and inspections
- Promote person-centered practices that foster independence and community inclusion
- Communicate effectively with families, guardians, and interdisciplinary teams
- Advocate for the rights, dignity, and needs of individuals served
- Monitor household budgets, expenses, and inventory
- Cook up medical appointments, transportation, and activities
- Respond to emergencies and provide crisis intervention
Who You Are
- A confident, steady leader who understands that strong homes start with strong supervision
- A leader with integrity, capable of motivating, coaching, and developing staff
- A highly organized individual with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- A valid driver's license
- CPR/First Aid/AED, Mandt, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Qualifications
- 2–3+ years of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop staff
- Valid driver’s license
- CPR/First Aid/AED, Mandt, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
- Ability to successfully complete required background checks and clearances
Schedule, Work Environment & Physical Expectations
- This is a full-time position that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and participation in an on-call rotation
- Program Supervisors are expected to provide after-hours support and respond to emergencies when necessary
- The role is based within residential group homes and requires active engagement in the home environment
- The position may require lifting up to 50 pounds, assisting individuals with mobility as needed, and responding effectively in emergency or crisis situations
