Responsibilities
- Provide regular and ongoing supervision to Bachelor-level and lived-experience direct service staff who provide Support and Stabilization services.
- Review the documentation of supervisees for completeness, quality, timeliness, and compliance.
- Monitor staff performance, productivity, service quality, and adherence to program expectations.
- Aid staff in developing engagement, assessment, safety planning, care coordination, and youth and family support skills.
- Participate in onboarding, training, and performance evaluations of staff.
- Address performance concerns and develop corrective action plans, when necessary, in conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor and/or Program Director.
- Promote staff retention, professional development, and a positive team culture.
- Assist with case assignment and monitoring of referral response timelines and service accessibility requirements.
- Ensure services are delivered in accordance with DCF Support & Stabilization program requirements and agency standards.
- Maintain staffing coverage and coordinate schedules to meet family needs.
- Facilitate and/or support DCF team meetings and case review meetings.
- Support collaboration among program staff and other internal agency programs.
- Maintain compliance with DCF contractual requirements, agency policies, confidentiality regulations, and applicable state and federal standards.
- Absorb required training, certifications, and competencies.
- Assist with internal audits, quality improvement activities, and utilization reviews.
- Monitor service outcomes and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain collaborative working relationships with DCF staff, Area Lead Agencies, community providers, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the program at community meetings, trainings, and provider forums.
- Support effective coordination of services across child-serving systems.
- Provide direct services to children, youth, parents, and families when needed to support program operations, staff development, coverage needs, or complex situations.
- Aid staff in managing high-risk or complex family situations.
- Maintain accurate supervision records and documentation of client care.
- Aid in program reporting and data collection activities.
- Support budgetary stewardship through efficient use of program resources.
- Participate in agency committees, meetings, and organizational initiatives, as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Years of experience: 0 – 3 years of related experience.
- Child Development Knowledge: Understanding stages of child growth and development.
- Parent Communication: Effectively communicating with parents about their child's progress.
- THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES: Applying various therapeutic approaches.
- Youth Mentoring: Providing guidance and support to young people.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Team Collaboration: Working effectively with other care providers, professionals, and support staff.
- Critical Thinking: Analyzing facts to form a judgment.
