About the role

The Program Specialist role at KinderCare Learning Companies involves developing and leading programs based on the company's unique curriculum in classrooms. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, customer service abilities, and the ability to mentor and train teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the world-class curriculum is implemented effectively and teachers can articulate its use and outcomes
  • Spend 75% of your time in the classroom, engaging with children and providing guidance to teachers
  • Partner with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Train, motivate, and lead staff members
  • Aid center management with teacher interviews and hiring
  • Collaborate with center staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives

Requirements

  • Ability to build relationships with families and colleagues and create an environment that fosters play and discovery
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Approved State Trainer (preferred)
  • NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge (preferred)
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role
  • Physically capable of using a computer with basic proficiency, lifting a minimum of 40 pounds, and working both indoors and outdoors
  • Able to interact with children in various postures, see and hear well enough to ensure safety, and engage in physical activities with them
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English

Pay

Range of pay: $20.15 - $25.45 hourly. In the state of Minnesota, there is an additional $3.00 per hour premium on all classroom hours worked, funded through the Minnesota Great Start Grant Compensation Support Program.

Schedule

Our schedules vary by location but typically include full-time positions with flexible hours to accommodate the needs of both the child and the caregiver.
