About Our Client

The organization is a national nonprofit dedicated to reducing the time between disaster and recovery for affected communities. It addresses challenges related to disaster readiness, resilience, rebuilding, and long-term recovery. The organization operates Recovery Services for vulnerable homeowners in disaster-prone areas across eight states in the Gulf South and provides Advisory Services that support high-risk, low-capacity communities through training, consulting, and organizational capacity-building.

About the Opportunity

The Program Specialist, Fellows Program supports Fellows, Group Managers, and leadership in Program and Advisory Services to ensure stability during growth and expansion. This role is responsible for facilitating program coordination, progress reporting, and supporting the development of the Fellows Alumni Program. It contributes to advancing the program’s impact by enabling effective communication, project management, and supporting key expansion initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program needs among Fellows, Group Managers, Program Director, Advisors, and other stakeholders
  • Support reporting and communication efforts including storytelling and donor reports
  • Lead grant research and maintain Salesforce and other databases to ensure accurate grant and project information
  • Aid in creating and implementing the Fellows Alumni Network
  • Support priorities related to Fellow placement, hiring, and training
  • Manage special projects as assigned
  • Contribute to general Advisory Services initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • PREFERRED experience with Federal and State Disaster Preparedness, Response, Recovery, Mitigation, or Resilience Grants
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • MUST pass Criminal History Check including sex offender registry, State Police, and FBI
  • Valid driver's license
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • PREFERRED proficiency with Salesforce and Google Suite

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Salary range: $75,000 to $105,000
