About the role

The Program Specialist role at KinderCare Learning Companies involves developing and leading programs based on the company's unique curriculum in classrooms. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, customer service abilities, and the ability to mentor and train teachers.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the world-class curriculum is implemented effectively and teachers can articulate its components and educational outcomes
  • Spending 75% of your time in the classroom, engaging with children and providing guidance to teachers
  • Collaborating with parents to provide the best care and education for their children
  • Training, motivating, and leading staff members
  • Assisting center management with teacher recruitment and hiring processes
  • Partnership with center staff and leadership to achieve goals related to enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives

Requirements

  • Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create an environment conducive to play and discovery
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Approved State Trainer (preferred)
  • NAEYC/NAC, and state licensing knowledge (preferred)
  • Meet state-specific guidelines for the role
  • Physically able to use a computer with basic proficiency, lift a minimum of 40 pounds, and work indoors or outdoors
  • Able to assume postures that allow physical and visual contact with children, see and hear well enough to keep children safe, and engage in physical activity with children
  • Read, write, understand, and speak English to communicate with children and their parents in English
