Program Protection Specialist

About the Role

Security threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to our clients. As a Program Protection Specialist, you will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action. You’ll work with operational and security subject matter experts (SMEs) to discover risks, understand applicable policies, and draft program protection plan artifacts. You’ll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape and guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and written deliverables. This role offers the opportunity to act as a program security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in information technology and telecommunications.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working in the DoD or intelligence community, including in SCI or SAP environments
• Experience with creating security plans for an integrated security environment that will protect SAP or SCI information throughout the lifecycle of the program
• Experience with the development of critical program protection plans, and writing and reviewing Security Classification Guides (SCGs), Operations Security (OPSEC) plans, or senior leader briefings
• Experience with organizational OPSEC programs
• Experience conducting indoctrination training and briefings
• TS/SCI clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain a Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Security Certification within 1 year of hire

• Ability to independently lead multiple security efforts simultaneously
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree
• Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Security Certification

Clearance

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. TS/SCI clearance is required.

Pay

Salary is determined by various factors, including location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $99,000.00 to $225,000.00 (annualized USD).

Schedule

This role may be remote, hybrid, or onsite:

• Remote: Occasional in-person work at a Booz Allen or customer facility may be required.
• Hybrid: Frequent work from a Booz Allen facility, with possible visits to customer facilities as needed.
• Onsite: Work primarily performed at a Booz Allen office or customer facility, collaborating directly with colleagues and customers.

For virtual work, cameras are generally expected to be on during meetings to support engagement and effective communication.
