About the role

Performs duties under the general direction of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Coordinator.

Operates within the scope of the CYS program, adhering to applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Assists CYS Services coordinator with operational functions of the CYS program.
  • Recruits, hires, and supervises staff including the CYS Nurse, the Functional Technology Specialist, and other CYS Personnel.
  • Utilizes automated systems to collect and maintain up-to-date statistical data and oversees the collection and accurate accounting of funds.
  • Analyzes statistical data for inclusion in the CYS Annual Report.

Requirements

  • One year probationary period may be required.
  • Must have current health assessment documenting good mental and physical health, freedom from communicable disease, and immunizations IAW current Army and DoD policy to include annual influenza vaccinations.

Qualifications

  • Two-page resume required.
  • Experience working with regulatory, personnel, funding, and budgeting proponents.
  • Four years of program administration experience in child and youth programs.
  • Experience in training adults and working effectively with command staff, professional staff, and parents.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize work, and analyze problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions.
  • Comprehensive oral and communications skills and analytical writing skills. Ability to present ideas and proposals to a variety of audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability using computers with standard office software such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, and e-mail.

Skills

  • Knowledge of management analysis, personnel development, and APF and NAF funding and oversight relationship to CYS programs.

  • Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
  • Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
