This is a Fully Remote Job About Our Client:The organization is a national nonprofit partner to a federal office responsible for protecting and managing national marine sanctuaries across the United States. It focuses on conserving America’s ocean and Great Lakes environments, which include diverse ecosystems, maritime heritage sites, and community resources. The organization supports 18 marine environments ranging from coastal to Great Lakes areas, working through education, conservation, community engagement, and scientific exploration to promote stewardship and sustainable enjoyment of public waters. About the Opportunity:The PROGRAM OPERATIONS MANAGER role is designed to manage and administer the daily operations of a portfolio focused on community engagement related to national marine sanctuary designation initiatives. This position plays a central role in coordinating federal and private program activities, overseeing grant and contract processes, and supporting collaboration between the organization and federal partners. The manager will facilitate program implementation, financial tracking, compliance, and reporting to ensure effective execution and growth of restoration and engagement programs. Responsibilities:Manage daily operations and administration of assigned program portfolioCoordinate with federal partners to operationalize project work and initiativesOversee grant and contract application and review processesImplement and monitor spending priorities and fund tracking for projectsServe as liaison for program managers and staff on implementation and complianceAdminister project and award management databases to improve workflow and data trackingTrack program metrics and results to support reporting and evaluation Requirements:Experience in program operations and award managementAbility to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including federal agenciesCompetence in financial tracking and budget managementStrong organizational and communication skillsExperience with database management and workflow optimization Pay Range and Compensation Package:The pay range and compensation package for this role will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
