About the role
This position oversees mega-like projects requiring additional oversight and tracking to mitigate contractual and project risks. It involves certifying resource allocations align with policies to ensure funds are spent as authorized, managing budgets for final approval, and providing leadership in establishing and maintaining effective project management processes.
Responsibilities
- Oversee large and complex studies, designs, or construction projects.
- Manage programs through rigorous use of a Quality Management system, including the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software to manage project or program schedules.
- Represent the District at meetings, briefings, conferences, and hearings with internal and external contacts on matters related to proposed or approved projects.
- Direct employees in managing projects through control of cost, budget, schedule, scope, and quality.
Requirements
- This position has been designated as performing Project and/or Program Management functions.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450.
Qualifications
- Experience in managing large and complex studies, designs or construction projects.
- Experience in managing programs through the rigorous use of a Quality Management system to include the use Primavera P6 scheduling software to manage project or program schedules.
