About the role
Develops and implements systems for the effective administration of the Simulation Training Laboratory in terms of expenditures, education, operational readiness, inventory, maintenance, record keeping and contract personnel/staff utilization. Performs highly complex duties in the design, development, installation, integration, coordination and maintenance of the Simulation Lab lab and its supplies and equipment, including hands-on assistance to faculty with patient simulation scenarios. Serves as a technical advisor for all simulation mannequins and high-level instructional equipment, models, and software.
Qualifications
- For a Paramedic: Associates degree for Paramedics initially certified after June 2015, New Jersey Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic certification, 1 year experience as a Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic, Certification in BTLS (Basic Trauma Life Support) or PHTLS (Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support).
- For a Registered Nurse: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Emergency Care or other Health related area, Licensure required as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey, Three to five years of prior work experience in Nursing or in Paramedic training required, Certification at the Technician level is required either at time of hire or within 1 year of employment by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare.
