About the Role
- Collaborates with facility leadership to manage, evaluate, and maintain MSK's institutional Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (SPHM) program, meeting NY state regulatory requirements.
- Provides leadership to and facilitates MSK's SPHM Committee.
- Leads the planning, implementation, and sustainability of SPHM programmatic initiatives.
- Ensures the SPHM program aligns with departmental strategies, organizational priorities, and best practices.
- Provides continuous evaluation of program performance measures, including collection and analysis of injury data, direct and indirect costs, and lost time.
- Identifies risks, issues, and barriers, recommending solutions to support timely and successful execution.
- Collaborates with various facility stakeholders during the design, construction, or renovation of clinical care areas, ensuring SPHM and ergonomic considerations are addressed.
- Organizes and mentors SPHM champions in the management of unit-based patient handling practices.
- Collaborates with clinical educators from various departments to develop and maintain SPHM education and training according to NYS regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Supports strategic planning related to operations, services, research, and resource needs.
- Develops business plans, market analyses, and proposals to support new and evolving initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related healthcare field required.
- Healthcare-related professional with applicable NYS licensure.
- Minimum of five years of clinical experience.
- Four to seven years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare operations or program management.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field preferred.
- Knowledge of SPHM practices and regulatory requirements.

Schedule
Monday through Friday, working hours flexed between 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Pay
$151,300.00 - $249,700.00 per year
