Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary interface between the business, technology, and operations organization(s).
  • Manage all programmatic aspects of assigned initiatives/programs/projects, including airports, cost, schedule, technical planning, tracking, reporting, technical execution, and ensuring overall program performance objectives are achieved in alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Participate in business resource planning/tracking in coordination with other enterprise entities and formulate teams to fulfill program requirements.
  • Identify, track, and resolve program issues and problems.
  • Manage program risk, ensuring risks are identified, mitigated, tracked, and managed.
  • Interface on project/program status, develop proposals, conduct research/fact-finding, coordinate audits, and negotiate with stakeholders to ensure enterprise initiatives meet cost, budget, and schedule constraints.

Program/Project Management

  • Develop, implement, and monitor contracts with vendors, ensuring conformance to approved plans and contract specifications.
  • Lead program/project teams to develop and gain approval of project plans, outlining objectives, scope of work, project elements (including schedule, deliverables, funding limitations, procedures for staff requirements, and resource allocation).
  • Review change readiness assessments and make recommendations for organization change management actions to increase readiness and adoption of technologies deployed.

Financial Management

  • Provide oversight and guidance over the development and monitoring of project budgets.
  • Analyze requirements across interdependent projects to identify opportunities for synergies and cost savings.
  • Apply financial knowledge of budgets and estimation to successfully manage projects.
  • Anticipate potential budget concerns and take actions to avoid issues.
  • Develop financial models and review scope and budget to ensure assumptions are clearly documented and tracked during project delivery.

Risk/Assumptions/Issue/Dependencies (RAID) Management

  • Forecast and evaluate risks with the identification of actions to avoid or minimize negative impacts on the project.

Process/Tools Management

  • Enforce PMO methodology, usage of standard tools, and drive for continuous improvement.
  • Optimize PMO standard tools for effective portfolio management within the framework of the organization.
  • Apply knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to meet project requirements and achieve business results.
  • Enforce standardized and relevant document templates into a central repository for the Frontier community.
  • Coach Project Managers in the team on the Program/Project Management Lifecycle (PMLC) process.

Communication/Relationship Management

  • Develop relationships with and ensure appropriate participation of key stakeholders and executives.
  • Serve as a contact in PMO for business relationship for project management services and practices.
  • Provide communications on services, utilization, engagement, accomplishments, and overall value-add to the organization.

Qualifications

  • Reliable, punctual attendance and quick response-time.
  • Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, and holding people accountable.
  • Ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire teams, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge the status quo, and adapt to dynamic situations.
  • Skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in program management disciplines.
  • Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes, including preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes.
  • Expert-level program/project management and business analysis skills with a minimum of 8 years of successfully managing projects of "high complexity" (reflected in size, cost, team size, depth and breadth of role, and span of impact such as enterprise-wide or multi-departmental).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business or technical-related discipline; combination of relevant education and work experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Masters Certification in IT Project Management, Certified Scrum Master, or similar work experience is preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in the aviation field or relatable experience.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

  • Experience leading PMO team(s), resource assignments, and leveling.
  • Experience delivering IT projects through PMO using the complete Project Lifecycle.

Work Environment

  • Standard office equipment, including PC, copier, fax machine, printer.
  • Typical office environment, adequately heated and cooled.
  • Light physical effort required by handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds frequently.

Supervision

Considerable Latitude: The incumbent establishes methods and procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives and receives guidance in terms of broad goals. Only the final results of work are typically reviewed.

Pay

Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000
