About the role

A Program Manager at Google leads complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, coordinating stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Projects often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust technical processes to scale Cloud’s resource management.
  • Maintain analytics to understand obscured problems, propose data-driven solutions, support proposed solutions, and own and manage the execution.
  • Have stewardship of regional health of Cloud's availability zones across the globe.
  • Manage complexity, cost, and risk in partnership with cross-functional stakeholder teams across SREs, Devs, PMs, Supply Chain, Planning and Efficiency.
  • Manage hardware lifecycle for GCPs machines in both Google-owned Data Centers as well as Colocation facilities.
  • Prioritize and manage capacity to ensure GCP's external customers can scale by ensuring the right type of machines are available in the right place at the right time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in capacity planning.
  • Experience with technical environments such as Google cloud.

Preferred qualifications

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Hardware or systems background to understand how technology changes influence our ability to grow.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of the tools and elements of project management.
  • Firm sense of accountability and ownership for the end-to-end project lifecycle.
  • Aptitude for quantitative assessment and analysis across multiple technical disciplines.

Pay

$159,000 - $230,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
