Program Manager II, Software Engineering, Search

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Manage programs, defining milestones and success criteria, resource allocation and successful on-time delivery.
- Develop tools and processes to improve software engineering productivity.
- Communicate schedules, priorities, and status to all levels in the company.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program or project management.
- Experience with consumer facing products.
- Experience with the software development life cycle and managing engineering programs.
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience with search engines or search technologies.
- Experience with data analytics.
- Experience with release management lifecycles and project milestones.
Skills
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Experience with project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
Benefits
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $132000 - $190000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits
