Program Manager II, NA Last Mile ORBIT PMO
About the Role
Join the ORBIT Program Management Office as the horizontal builder who multiplies impact across all six portfolios in North America's Last Mile Operations. This role focuses on owning the mechanisms, standards, and automations that every portfolio leader depends on, directly advancing our mission of a 60% reduction in manual prep time across the VP offices we support.
Responsibilities
- Own and continuously improve ORBIT's standard work library, reporting standards, and flash reporting mechanisms, ensuring consistency and operational excellence across all six portfolios.
- Design and manage a repeatable intake-to-delivery pipeline that converts automation opportunities into deployed solutions, tracking reclaimed hours and measurable progress toward the team's 60% manual-prep-reduction target.
- Partner with Business Intelligence Engineers, portfolio leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders to scope, prototype, and ship AI-assisted automations that permanently remove manual effort from recurring workflows.
- Manage program life-cycles and deliver cross-functional projects by identifying stakeholder needs, defining clear objectives, applying relevant tools and mechanisms, and communicating status to leadership.
- Audit standard operating procedures against current practice, identify process improvement opportunities, and drive crisp decisions that accelerate progress and mitigate risks across portfolio teams.
A Day in the Life
Your morning begins with the team pulse — pulling status across portfolios, checking automated feeds for gaps, resolving data questions with portfolio leaders, and publishing before the leadership day begins. Mid-morning might bring a working session with a Business Intelligence Engineer to extend an auto-flagging rule. Afternoons balance governance work with project work: auditing SOPs, rewriting drifted procedures, or scoping automations by measuring recurring tasks, prototyping AI-assisted versions, and logging reclaimed hours.
