BOM review and validation
The Project & Program Manager reviews and validates BOMs to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Update and maintain lab inventory databases
The role is responsible for updating and maintaining lab inventory databases to ensure accurate asset tracking.
Asset and material management
- Maintain asset and material management across data centers and warehouses
- Manage various ticketing systems with current project status
Project management
- Manage multiple, cross-functional and technical network deployment projects
- Manage/track program milestones, timeline, and overall deliverables
- Manage project documentation including schedules, reviews, process documents, risk analysis, etc.
- Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders
- Drive project lifecycle milestones from concept commit through project closure
- Advocate change management
- Measure project performance using metrics and KPIs
- Participate in internal process improvements
- Identify and track risks, execute risk analysis and risk management techniques
- Provide risk mitigation strategies
Vendor and stakeholder coordination
- Engage in regularly scheduled meetings with core teams
- Coordinate with vendor partners and internal stakeholders
Project documentation and reporting
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation including schedules, reviews, process documents, risk analysis, etc.
- Provide regular status updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid understanding of layer 2 and Layer 3 networking concepts
- Hands-on experience with configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining IP networks
- Experience working in a live network environment with the ability to monitor, manage, and troubleshoot complex networks
- Familiarity with key optical technologies
- 2 to 5 years of project management experience in a high-pressure, and fast-paced environment, preferably supporting data centers or network hardware
- 2+ years of experience with data center lifecycles and/or large-scale networks
- Builds productive internal and external working relationships
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, documentation)
- Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments concurrently
- Self-starter who is able to quickly learn new tools and gain familiarity with new processes and technologies with minimal assistance
- Strong observational and analytical skills, including: ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information, strong attention to detail and accuracy, ability to track and report metrics, and manage risks
- Willingness to work across multiple North American time zones (remotely or from the local client office)
