About the Role
The Senior Market Operations Program Manager is responsible for leading the execution and performance of provider engagement and growth programs across assigned markets. This role owns program operations from planning through execution and outcome measurement, partnering closely with market operations, growth, analytics, commercial, and clinical teams. The position requires strong program management, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills to keep initiatives on track and ensure performance goals are achieved.
The Senior Market Operations Program Manager will also work directly with physicians and practice staff to maintain engagement, address barriers, and support successful program execution. This position is ideal for someone who can operate effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment, influence cross-functional teams, and build scalable processes that support continued growth.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end operations, execution, and outcomes of provider engagement and growth programs.
- Lead cross-functional teams and drive initiatives forward through influence, data analysis, accountability, and effective timeline management.
- Establish program milestones, monitor progress, and ensure key deliverables remain on track.
- Analyze program performance and provide clear, timely updates, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Monitor program risks, dependencies, and operational challenges and escalate significant blockers to the appropriate stakeholders.
- Conduct proactive outreach and follow-up with physicians, providers, and practice staff to maintain engagement and program momentum.
- Build strong relationships with external provider stakeholders and serve as a reliable point of contact throughout program execution.
- Partner with Market Operations, Growth, Analytics, Commercial, and other internal teams to align strategies and responsibilities.
- Use program data and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
- Develop scalable operating models, processes, and playbooks for provider engagement and growth initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve program efficiency, consistency, and scalability across markets.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by incorporating lessons learned and stakeholder feedback into future program planning.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in program management, operations, client-facing roles, or a related field.
- Experience supporting physician network programs, provider engagement, and/or clinical operations.
- Working knowledge of healthcare operations and value-based care models.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, monitor performance metrics, and communicate insights effectively.
- Experience using CRM systems and other business tools to track engagement, performance, and program activity.
- Strong judgment and demonstrated ability to identify, manage, and escalate operational risks and issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly when working with external healthcare stakeholders.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, early-stage environment where priorities and processes may evolve quickly.
- PMP certification or MBA preferred.
