Duties
- Ensures compliance with regulatory guidance in the areas of equal opportunity, security, and safety for all assigned personnel.
- Plans, coordinates, and provides supervision for conducting comprehensive management studies; develops study objectives, plans of action, milestones, assigns workload, and monitors accomplishments through completion of the study.
- Develops the overall position on long‑ and short‑range program requirements.
- Coordinates efforts of key personnel in accomplishing missions.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Employee may be required to perform Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) up to 10 % of the time.
- Incumbent must submit a Financial Disclosure Statement (OGE‑450) and an Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entry and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500‑7‑R, Joint Ethics Regulation (dated 23 March 2006).
- One‑year trial/probationary period may be required.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- One‑year supervisory probationary period may be required; a one‑year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- Direct deposit of pay is required.
- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from the Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
- Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement; Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized.

- Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that includes evaluating the organization’s progress toward meeting goals, developing courses of action within established policy to accomplish the mission, and providing leadership to subordinate commands and staff.
- Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS‑13).
- Education: This position does not allow substitution of education for experience.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre‑Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
