Description

The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is an independent scientific organization dedicated to developing rigorous quality standards for medicines, dietary supplements, and food ingredients. As a Program Manager within the Global Biologics Department, you will be responsible for managing internal projects and external collaborations that support biological standards development and release.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with global Biologics Leadership to drive programs to meet established objectives and appropriately utilize resources.
  • Build and manage workplans, timelines, deliverables, and project transfers with a clear understanding of responsibilities across stakeholders and drive staff accountability.
  • Create and deliver program dashboards (timeline, risk, dependencies, resource burn) and lead monthly/quarterly reviews.
  • Anticipate and identify issues and challenges and manage resolution with team leaders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across USP as needed to successfully implement projects and utilize data-driven decision-making principles.
  • Manage the implementation of robust project management approach to fulfill responsibilities and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Leverage tools, technology, platforms to efficiently and effectively manage projects.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of USP's mission and commitment to excellence through inclusive and equitable behaviors and practices.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience project managing multiple, complex projects in a life sciences industry or research environment.
  • Experience supporting a diverse team with remote members.
  • Strong writer and communicator.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills.

  • Strong influence, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills to drive program success.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with audience-appropriate awareness.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in project management software use.
  • PMP or related certification together with demonstrated job application of knowledge is a plus.

Pay

Base Salary Range: USD $87,756.00 – $108,400.00 annually.
