Program Manager - Autism Lab

Temple University's Barnett College of Public Health is searching for a Program Manager to coordinate major aspects of the establishment and development of the Christopher M. Barnett Autism Laboratory.

About the role

The Program Manager will work directly with the Executive Director to start and set up new and ongoing projects of the Laboratory, including efforts in research and evaluation, community engagement, education and training, and knowledge translation and dissemination.

Responsibilities

• Organize and manage multiple research projects from initiation, including grant writing and submissions, setting up research project protocols, IRB submission, and leading day-to-day project operations.
• Work with the Executive Director and team members to identify and research new funding opportunities, participate in grant writing, review RFPs, and engage in secondary data research.
• Collaborate with the IRB and grants administration team to ensure new projects are created, monitored, and completed, providing support to the Executive Director and other researchers.
• Gather, generate, maintain, and analyze program data; assist with report development and database maintenance; support IRB applications and reporting.
• Identify and implement strategies to improve program efficiency and ensure data accuracy.
• Initiate internal and external contacts to exchange information, support communication, and engage with partners, advisory board members, faculty, and staff.
• Provide information for project/operation budget development and monitor portions of the budget as needed.
• Participate in staffing processes, including candidate selection, performance evaluation, training, and HR issues; provide task supervision to student workers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least four years of directly related experience preferred; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Project management experience on externally funded initiatives required.
• Willingness and ability to work with individuals with Autism and/or other developmental disabilities.
• Experience recruiting and working with Autistic individuals as research participants using inclusive research design practices.
• Experience working with individuals with lived experience of disability/Autism.
• Demonstrated ability to train and present in large groups.
• Strong problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, handle multiple tasks, and work well as part of a team.
• Volunteer recruitment and management experience.
• Willingness to travel throughout the U.S. as needed and work some evenings and weekends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and qualitative or quantitative software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000 to $72,000. A variety of factors are reviewed by HR when considering salary, including job duties, education, experience, internal equity, department budget, and funding source.

Schedule

This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote). The duration of this arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the department.
