Program Manager

What You'll Do

This position requires the ability to identify and communicate program scope, goals, objectives, and customer requirements for a Program that exceeds $100M in yearly budget.

Plans and directs a program which typically involves a portfolio of related projects. Develops program strategies and execution plans to accomplish program deliverables and objectives. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of programs or sub-elements of major programs. Directs all phases of the program from inception through completion. Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/condition of contract. Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Participates directly with the customer in the negotiation of deliverables and baseline changes.

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
• OR Master's degree: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
• OR PhD: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering, technical, or business-related discipline with at least 4 years of progressive relevant experience in engineering, production facilities, strategic planning, Program Management or Project Management desired
• Subcontract Technical Representative
• Typical relevant experience ranging from 10 to 15 years. Experience in Y-12 production facilities and/or strategic planning are preferred

• This position may be categorized as a “designated position” identified by 10 C.F.R. Part 709, requiring successful completion of a DOE counterintelligence evaluation that may include a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
