Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short- and long-range plans.
- Formulate, guide, and direct the technical approach; and define and negotiate with activity and customer personnel for necessary resources.
- Establish and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets and costs are also essential tasks for the Program Manager.
- Serve as the main interface between the company and the government customer.
- Work with Technical leads to define schedule and resources and coordinate internal personnel resources across multiple tasks.
- Develop project spend plans for a variety of contract type efforts (CPFF, Cost, etc.).
- Track all project budgets, deliverables and milestones to ensure successful project execution.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Collect and analyze cost performance data reports in order to identify cost, schedule, and performance trends and deviations and recommend corrective action.
- Attend meetings and provide briefings technical, schedule, and cost performance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Math, Physical Sciences, Computer Science or other STEM major required.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience required.
- Required Qualifications: Ten years of experience managing Navy systems projects related to Anti- Submarine Warfare/Under-Sea Warfare (ASW/USW), submarine and surface ship signature measurement and reduction, and/or sonar development. Ten years of experience in program management/planning programs with long-range technology development project analysis and documentation at the Exploratory and advanced Development R&D levels. Ten years of experience with financial status monitoring of projects involving multiple funding categories. System integration experience. Information Assurance Technician (IAT) Level II certification.
- Desired Qualifications: Ten years of experience in acoustic recording systems development and certification, advanced development sonars, or ship signature Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) projects. Ten years of experience in signature measurement systems management, underwater acoustic programs, or ship signature trial planning.
