Job Purpose
The Program Manager will be responsible for all aspects of a program at the Sanmina Fremont facility, serving as the site liaison between the company and the customer to ensure customer needs are met. They will ensure all program-related decisions are guided by the terms and conditions of the customer's contract.
Nature Of Duties/Responsibilities
- Communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders
- Plans, monitors, and follows through on assignments and expectations
- Uses best practice PMO methodology to create a project plan tailored to the stakeholders' and customers' needs
- Ensures all project-related decisions are aligned with the customer's contract
- Defines project roles and responsibilities by working closely with the Customer, Sales Team, Engineering, and Manufacturing
- Manages and develops project programs
- Teaches and enforces the use of good project management practices
- Manages activities of a cross-functional team to ensure project completion
- Reviews status with the customer and management team
- Understands and drives written understanding of the project and develops contract/MSA terms with the customer and business development team
- Maintains good customer relationships to prevent escalations
- Drives effective meetings with both internal and external teams
- Timely resolution of issues and escalation as needed to avoid delays in project completion
- Moves materials and parts around the production area
Education And Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Minimum of 2-4 years of direct and relevant experience in Program Management, Field Application Engineering, and/or Product Development
- Experience understanding electro-mechanical solutions and designs
- Basic mechanical and manufacturing process knowledge
- Experience transferring complex products and processes into manufacturing
- Experience analyzing project-related data and utilizing standard project management tools and documentation and planning systems
- Knowledge of Open Standards such as OpenVPX is preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-focused and demonstrated problem-solver
- Time management and organizational skills
- Understanding of sales activities, sales cycle, and techniques
- Extensive experience with U.S. Government contracts, including FAR and DFARS
- Must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident
Pay
$75,000 - $95,000 annually. Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate's years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills.
