About the role
Direct the preparation of strategic and client management plans and informational materials. Focus on the development of the business line as a business discipline. Support marketing initiatives as the technical discipline leader into new markets, clients and project opportunities. Assist in the development and implementation of project and client pursuit plans. Develop and participate in presentations on project selections and within selected professional development organizations. Become active in professional societies promoting the business line.
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage all aspects of the program projects.
- Independently coordinate the work of engineers, designers/draft persons and sub-consultants throughout the project’s execution.
- Establish and maintain client relations.
- Aid in marketing, contractual development, and design implementation.
- Coordinate workload throughout the project, from initial plan development to completed project design, with some interface with the construction management effort, ensuring projects are within budget and on schedule.
- Manage the financial aspects of assigned engineering projects; coordinate and adjust the work effort within the project team to ensure project work is completed on schedule and within allocated budget.
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of architecture, engineering, or construction management required.
- 8+ years of experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect, or CCM preferred.
- Market-specific Certifications preferred.
- Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
- A positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multi-design discipline team.
- Familiarity with how projects go from beginning to completion.
- A background in mentoring younger engineers or coordinating across disciplines.
