About the role
The Program Manager is responsible for coordinating complex customer-facing programs and internal IRAD initiatives from concept through deployment, partnering with government customers and cross-functional teams to deliver innovative communications solutions that drive mission success and support goTenna's long-term product strategy. This is both a strategic and a tactical role which requires a close partnership with technology developers, product, business stakeholders, executive management, and others.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work directly with peers and goTenna’s government customers to lead and execute strategic development and integration of goTenna off-grid networking technology to drive mission impact.
- Develop, track, and analyze detailed work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- Cook up cross-functional teams through planning, execution, risk management, and customer engagement.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards for program deliverables and to government contract requirements.
- Cook up meetings, test events, and demonstrations to showcase technical capabilities to customer audiences.
- Lead contractual agreement drafting with partners and vendors related to program delivery.
- Manage the integration of vendor tasks and track and review vendor deliverables.
- Identify program risks, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively communicate impacts to stakeholders.
- Develop and communicate multiple program roadmaps internally and diligently update internal data systems.
- Effectively communicate in-flight and planned programs with metrics, KPIs, risks, dependencies, obstacles, and mitigation plans.
Required Experience
- Five (5) + years of technical program management experience background; working with contracts and contract language a plus.
- Experience supporting DoD, DHS, CBP, Air Force, SOCOM, and/or other local, state, or Federal Government agencies.
- Experience managing government programs and developing and strengthening key customer relationships.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment across large organizations and negotiating tradeoffs.
- Experience in core program management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality and risk management.
- Excellent communication skills, including oral, written and presentation.
Preferred Experience
- PMP Certification
- Technical experience related to hardware and software development, networking, or wireless communications
- Experience working for a product development company
- Experience working in agile/SCRUM environments
- Experience with modern project management and collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Planner, SalesForce, or equivalent).
