Program Manager
Responsibilities
- Provide operational management of projects which includes developing schedules and budgets and managing expenditures and project execution
- Serve as primary customer contact
- Identify staffing and other resources required for each project
- Oversee, approve, and assume responsibility for the creation of responses to RFQ's, additional changes in contract/program scope, and/or any and all customer or internal changes that affect program goals/metrics (i.e. cost, gross margin, schedule(s))
- Provide coordination of reviews and requests as well as contract negotiation
- Ensure projects are in compliance with customer and government standards and requirements, as applicable
- Oversee day-to-day activities and provide recommendations to improve operational efficiencies
- Interface directly with all internal department leads, outside suppliers/vendors and especially the customer regarding all facets of program control, management, and reporting
- Generate and provide all required reporting
Professional Requirements
- BS degree in engineering required, MS degree preferred
- The ideal candidate will also have:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Project Management in a hardware delivery environment
- Experience directly dealing with government and aerospace prime customers from a program/project, liaison, engineering, and/or sales perspective
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate an interdisciplinary team to meet challenging technical requirements and to deliver hardware within schedule.
- Program financial understanding, program and scope estimating, cost of goods sold and program/project gross margin experience a plus
- MS Project and/or similar program scheduling/tracking software capability
- Knowledge or experience with U.S. Government contracts and Export Control compliance requirements. Strong knowledge of engineering and production requirements

Pay
Starting salary at $100,000 and up, based on level of education completed, and years of relevant experience.
