About the role

The Residential Program Manager at Community Options, Inc. oversees a team to provide personalized care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Key responsibilities include managing staff schedules, ensuring quality care, communicating with families, and maintaining a safe environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Support team performance through communication, training, performance management, and staff meetings
  • Develop and implement activity programs, including the Meaningful Day curriculum
  • Communicate with families and guardians as needed
  • Ensure individuals receive support according to their Individual Service Plans (ISPs) and Personal Care Plans (PCPs)
  • Monitor health and medical needs, reporting any concerns promptly
  • Manage relationships with families and guardians
  • Ensure work locations and vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies
  • Handle additional tasks as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Two years' full-time work experience in supporting people with disabilities
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Knowledge of state regulatory agency operations and standards relevant to supporting individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and staff
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

Pay

$55,000/year

Schedule
