Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing projects through the full product lifecycle, from initial request for information (RFI) and planning through production and delivery.
• Cook up and drive new product introduction (NPI) activities within an electronics manufacturing environment, ensuring smooth transition from prototype to volume production.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, managing approximately 20% of time in customer interactions to understand requirements, provide updates, and address issues.
• Manage approximately 60% of time leading projects through manufacturing, including scheduling, resource planning, and coordination with production, engineering, and materials teams.
• Oversee project financials, dedicating about 20% of time to managing budgets, forecasts, and procurement activities to ensure projects meet financial targets.
• Facilitate strong cross-department communication among engineering, production, materials management, and quality teams to keep projects aligned and on track.
• Cook with clients to clarify technical and commercial requirements, manage expectations, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor material management activities related to assigned projects, including component availability, lead times, and procurement status, to prevent production delays.
• Track project progress against timelines, milestones, and deliverables, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including plans, status reports, and change requests, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement efforts in project management and manufacturing processes by identifying opportunities and contributing to best practices.

Requirements

• Proven project management experience within a manufacturing environment, with a focus on electronics.
• Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience leading projects and guiding cross-functional teams.
• Strong cross-department and client communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical and project information to diverse stakeholders.
• A solid understanding of the full product lifecycle, from RFI and early concept stages through production and delivery.
• Hands-on experience with new product introduction (NPI) in electronics manufacturing.
• A knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes and material management practices.
• The ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and procurement activities for multiple projects.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
