Program Leader-Casual

Two casual Program Leader positions located in Grand Forks, BC, reporting to the Community Programmer.

About the role

The Program Leader is responsible for the well-being and safety of participants in Grand Forks Recreation programs. We pride ourselves on being a great place to work, where we enjoy working collaboratively to deliver smart and sustainable service to our constituents.

Responsibilities

• Execution of engaging activities for children participating in day camps
• Assisting in the development of new programs
• Supervising participants to ensure they are safe and happy
• Facility supervision and clean up

Requirements

• Minimum 16 years of age
• Past experience working with children in a supervisory manner
• Satisfactory Criminal Record Check

Assets

• WHMIS certification
• Standard First Aid certification
• Leadership Training
• Bronze Medallion and/or Bronze Cross
• Volunteer coaching and/or officiating experience

Pay

$22.50/hour (2025 rate) + 10% in lieu of benefits

Schedule

Typically Fridays, 8am–4pm, with occasional additional event-based shifts throughout the week.
