Program Leader - BASE

About the role

Responsible for supervising and guiding children in the program under the direction of program leadership. Plans and implements activities, communicates with families, and promotes good community relations. This is a split‑shift position in the before and after school programs.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements program activities and curriculum.
• Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Builds healthy relationships with children by actively engaging with them, relating to them positively, and responding to their unique needs and interests.
• Ensures active supervision and safety of all children in the program.
• Supports and guides behavior and promotes a positive and healthy program environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Demonstrate ability to work with children.
• Have completed at least one (1) of the following:
  • At least three (3) months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children over the age of four (4) who are not related to the individual; or
  • A current early childhood professional credential level I (1) or higher in version 3.0 as determined by the Department based on its Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0 Worksheet.
• Essential Physical Requirements: occasional lifting of 5–50 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting.

Pay

• Minimum hire rate: $18.31 USD hourly
• Maximum hire rate: $23.75 USD hourly
• Full salary range: $18.31 – $29.19 USD hourly (based on a full‑time 1.0 FTE; part‑time salaries prorated according to assigned FTE)
