Key Roles (Essential Job Responsibilities)

• Provides guidance and development for part-time staff.
• Aid in preparing newly hired staff for working with program participants.
• Help frontline staff members understand their roles and contribute to a positive work culture.
• Assist in food service, kitchen staff, and the CACFP & SFSP food programs.
• Coordinate evidence-based programs aligned with Boys & Girls Clubs goals and objectives.
• Prepare paperwork and reports including attendance, program reports, and using the remind app.
• Maintain a safe, positive environment necessary for youth development by understanding and implementing organizational policies.

Prepare Youth for Success

• Communicate with a strength-based approach to develop positive relationships with all youth.
• Respect and honor cultural and human diversity.
• Identify potential risk and protective factors for youth.
• Demonstrate qualities of a positive role model.
• Develop STEM and other curricula.
• Organize binders for teams.

Professional Development

• Aid in YDP trainings.
• Attend Spillet, DESE, and other leadership trainings.

Additional Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and program implementation of grant-funded programs.
• Be responsible for closing program/building and filling in where needed at any site.

Qualification Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience in youth guidance and development programs preferred.
• CPR and first aid certified or willing to become certified.
• Proven management skills to supervise Club staff and volunteers.
• Knowledge of and access to community organizations and assistance agencies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability and desire to work with youth in various environments.
• The ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision.
• Pass background screening and drug test.
