About the role
Work with program staff and clients to support independent living skills and resource connections.
Responsibilities
- Assess clients' needs and provide emotional support and advocacy
- Link clients to resources and provide case management support
- Prepare and facilitate presentations on mental or behavioral health awareness
- Able to connect with at-risk young adults and families
- File documentation and enter required data into Salesforce within 72 hours
- Manage projects as assigned
- Report suspected abuse or neglect to the Program Director
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to BCFS safety protocols
- Meet all deadlines and deadlines set by the Program Director and state/federal partners
- Identify and maintain professional relationships with clients and community partners
- Attend and participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and case consultations
- Participate in community events and activities as assigned
- Implement BCFS safety protocols including evacuations in emergencies
- Maintain professional relationships and demonstrate respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members
- Work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Travel as needed based on grant requirements
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelor or Master level student in a human services program
- No prior experience required
- Pass a pre-employment and biennial criminal background and motor vehicle check
- Maintain liability insurance throughout internship/practicum experience
