Program Directors leverage their expertise to develop, maintain, and deliver education services to students.
Responsibilities
- Creating and maintaining core curriculum across the institution
- Communicating and monitoring delivery of core curriculum
- Preparing course plans and material
- Delivering courses
- Monitoring progress and attendance
- Advising students
- Recording grades and submitting reports
Requirements
- Minimum of a master’s degree
- Minimum of five years (or equivalent) full-time, post-licensure experience, including at least three years (or equivalent) of full-time clinical experience within any United States jurisdiction
- Didactic and/or clinical teaching experience
- Experience in administration, management, and leadership (clinical experiences acceptable)
- Professional development or education in educational theory and methodology, instructional design, student evaluation, and outcome assessment (minimum 60 contact hours covering these four areas)
- Familiarity with CAPTE Standards and accreditation processes preferred
- Current, unrestricted State of Florida Physical Therapy Practitioner (PT or PTA) License
