Program Director Physical Therapist Assistant

About the role

The position oversees academic programs, focusing on student experience, success, and retention strategies. It involves managing faculty, externships, and clinical placements, ensuring academic quality through classroom observations and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in a Term or Terms
• Develop, implement, and conduct assessments on program and course student learning outcomes
• Coordinate faculty activities and trainings
• Affirmatively assist with faculty selection and interview process
• Manage externship quality and number of sites
• Coordinate faculty scheduling within the program
• Assist with faculty substitute listings and contact information maintenance
• Coordinate new faculty orientation and program-specific orientations
• Conduct assessments of all class sessions as required by policy
• Maintain and manage a sufficient inventory of program equipment and supplies
• Prepare requests for equipment & supplies for the program
• Coordinate textbook orders for the program
• Facilitate monthly programmatic faculty meetings, advisory committee meetings, and curriculum review meetings
• Prepare accreditation reports, reviews, etc. as required by the program
• Maintain records, reports, examinations, data, fees, and other program specific items
• Monitor and maintain compliance with applicable institutional, governmental, and accreditation standards
• Complete other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) or Physical Therapist (PT) license/certification
• Minimum of 5 years (or equivalent) full-time post-licensure experience, including at least 3 years (or equivalent) of full-time clinical experience within any United States jurisdiction
• Experience in classroom, lab, or clinical teaching
• Experience in administration, management, and leadership
• Required certificates, licenses, and registrations for the course(s) they are to teach

Benefits

The starting pay range for this position is $95,000 - $100,000 annually.
