Program Director of Clubs

About the Role

The Program Director of Clubs is responsible for assisting the development and management of sport programs, ensuring the effective operation of FCA Sports processes, systems, and resources across Clubs. This role requires a dynamic leader who can seamlessly integrate sports management with ministry, fostering a Christ-centered Club that promotes both athletic excellence and spiritual growth.

Responsibilities

• Manage club operations, establish logistics, secure facilities, and maintain relationships with governing bodies, Clubs, and tournaments.
• Develop outreach strategies, expand program offerings, and cultivate strategic partnerships to grow the number of participants.
• Fulfill FCA administration requirements for registration, certification, coaches qualification, financial stewardship, and training.
• Register Clubs in VIP and ensure comprehensive training and implementation of the Club Management System (Sports Connect).
• Assist with coach and volunteer onboarding using VIP.
• Manage financial operations related to the Clubs.
• Fulfill external administration requirements with governing bodies, Clubs, tournaments, referee associations, and playing facilities.
• Organize and manage games, tournaments, evaluations, coach & referee training, practices, and end-of-season events.
• Create calendars for tryouts, training, competitions, camps, and ministry opportunities.
• Train and mentor coaches, setting up mentorship programs to build a bench of coaches.
• Supervise try-outs, practices, and games to ensure sport and ministry excellence.
• Develop relationships with governing bodies, other Clubs, and local churches.
• Market Clubs, recruit families and athletes, and address conflicts as needed.
• Ensure FCA engages, equips, and empowers coaches, athletes, and volunteers through 1-on-1s, Huddles, and events.
• Integrate ministry within sports, focusing on spiritual growth alongside athletic excellence.
• Lead and oversee E3 discipleship programs and community-building around the sport.
• Recruit, train, and develop volunteers to grow the ministry in the Club.
• Connect, communicate, and care for existing and prospective financial partners.
• Manage finances, establish an annual budget, and execute funding plans.
• Initiate fundraising opportunities for players and families.
• Minister to donors and board members through consistent connection and communication.

Ministerial Duties

• Agree with and abide by FCA's Christian Community.
• Follow a spiritual rhythm, including daily prayer and Bible study.
• Provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches, and athletes.
• Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly service.
• Conduct oneself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs.
