Program Director Hospice

Altus Hospice is seeking a Program Director to oversee our Hospice Program in Corpus Christi. This role provides overall leadership for hospice agency operations, focusing on growth, external market relationships, financial management, customer service, and quality care delivery.

About the role

The Hospice Program Director oversees and administers all aspects of day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with hospice-specific regulations, laws, and policies, including Medicare/Medicaid matters. Under senior management guidance, you will expertly manage the local office, impacting patients' and families' lives during difficult times.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Liaisons to foster relationships with physicians, hospitals, nursing facilities, and other key stakeholders to extend reach and support.
• Employ, orient, train, educate, and evaluate qualified colleagues to build and grow the team.
• Organize and supervise administrative functions of the hospice program and local operations.
• Maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations, implementing corrective action as needed.
• Lead day-to-day management and operations of the hospice program.
• Implement policies and procedures approved by the governing body.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing, health care, or business administration preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in health care management, home health, hospice, or related programs.
• Two (2) years of hospice experience with intimate knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and Department of Aging and Disability Services regulations.
• Operations and/or Sales Leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships within the communities served and the company.
• Skilled at establishing and maintaining working relationships with key staff, marketing contacts, and clinical staff.
• Experience in analyzing processes, improvement planning, supporting change, and managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay

The pay range listed ($0,000 - $0,000 per year) represents a general guideline. Compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s relevant experience and the specific responsibilities of the position. Final compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
