About the Role

Walton Family Whole Health & Fitness, managed by HealthFitness, is seeking a passionate and collaborative Program Director - Health Promotion & Wellbeing Services to lead the delivery of innovative programs that help individuals thrive. Based in Bentonville, AR, this role is ideal for a health promotion professional who enjoys turning ideas into action, building strong partnerships, and creating meaningful experiences that support whole-person well-being.

You will lead the execution of programs and events spanning health education, mindfulness, movement, stress management, nutrition, and community engagement while working closely with client and site stakeholders to ensure programs are integrated, impactful, and aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all programming within the Whole Health business unit and develop, manage, implement, and evaluate programs within whole health to maximize participation, outcomes, and customer satisfaction, including supervision of programs, services, and staff.
  • Interact directly with client representatives and support the greater Whole Health and Well-Being vision.
  • Facilitate close alignment of programs with the client’s business needs, employee culture, and corporate health strategies.
  • Coordinate marketing of programs to maximize outreach and engagement; develop and distribute electronic and print promotional materials to communicate program offerings and special events.
  • Oversee the scheduling, engagement, and delivery of all Whole Health programming, including supervision of instructors.
  • Integrate effectively and seamlessly with Walton Family Whole Health Facility partners, community, and client resources to maximize program exposure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align and execute the Whole Health strategy across departments.
  • Support the business plan as it applies to whole health and ongoing training of staff.
  • Responsible for the execution and delivery of Whole Health programs including family and community-building events, workshops, mindfulness activities, and “Taking Charge.”
  • Maintain expertise in consulting on a wide range of complementary and integrative health practices and initiatives such as health coaching, nutrition, mindfulness, stress reduction, movement, community resources, and complementary approaches.
  • Coordinate program planning and delivery in collaboration with client and site stakeholders to ensure full integration throughout all lines of client business.
  • Other duties as needed/assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of related industry experience in program management, wellness, health improvement, or a related environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in program development, implementation, and data collection.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion, Whole Health, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Health Education, or a related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in delivery and coordination of corporate-based health promotion/education programs, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience in health promotion, health education, health coaching, nutrition, or mindfulness as related to program design, delivery, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint; working knowledge of member management systems, databases, and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills, including the ability to motivate others.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work demands, meet deadlines, and collaborate with all business units.
  • Proven experience in program planning, design, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Current OSHA-compliant Adult First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
  • Applicants must meet hiring requirements, including but not limited to a pre-employment drug test.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Nutrition certification or Movement Training System (MTS) certification, and continuing education in stretch/flexibility/recovery.
  • Certified Health Education Specialist, wellness coaching, or whole health certification.
  • Health Coaching certification.

Pay

The compensation range for this role is $70,000–$80,000 annually. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
