About the role
Lutheran Social Services of Illinois (LSSI) is seeking a full-time CCS Program Director to lead and manage assigned Child Welfare programs. This position involves overseeing multiple service lines at one or more program sites.
Responsibilities
- Engage in strategic planning and goal setting for the programs and develop procedures and systems that enhance their effectiveness.
- Provide direct supervision, training, support, review, and evaluation for Child Welfare Supervisors and other assigned staff.
- Develop, implement, and is accountable for the program budgets along with evaluation of program effectiveness as it relates to goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with other management staff in programs and network on programmatic, fiscal, organizational, and community issues.
- Maintain staffing requirements and assign responsibilities for coordination and organization of the program staff activities.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work or related DCFS/COA acceptable degree required.
- Background check clearance, both criminal and CANTS required.
- State licensing/certification as required by the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a managerial/supervisory role and experience with Child Welfare required.
- Demonstrated ability to display positive organizational and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
- Computer proficiency as needed by the program and willingness to increase skills as required.
- Valid driver’s license, in good standing for the state of residency required.
- Access to reliable transportation.
- Valid IL statutory minimum liability insurance coverage, bodily injury, and property damage required.
