Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Documentation of training in medical or allied health and training in instructional methodology. Active certification in Medical Assisting (CMA, RMA, NCMA, NCCT, CCMA, or CMAC) required. Degree in medical-related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-years of experience in the profession of medical assisting. Demonstrated knowledge of Medical Assisting credit curriculum and industry-valued credentials. Preferred are 5 years of industry experience, and 2-years of teaching experience; curriculum development experience.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate complex ideas and activities to a broad audience. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and related programs, excellent computer skills, good phone skills, customer service skills, attention to detail, self-motivated, good communications skills, ability to work under pressure, sensitivity in handling confidential information. Familiarity with external funding sources such as state and federal grants.
Work Hours
Monday – Friday, 8:30-4:30 with some nights and weekends required.
