Program Director

About the role

The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration of the Columbia County Program, including participant services, personnel management, and budget management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all services provided to participants and their families, ensuring they receive the appropriate hours, contacts, services, specified monies, and activities as required by contract with the referring authority or third-party payor.
• Ensure all services are authorized or reauthorized by the referring authority or third-party payor.
• Manage the intake process, including interviewing referrals, family members, and referring authority staff.
• Develop and implement strength-based, wraparound service or treatment plans in conjunction with participants and their families.
• Monitor service delivery to ensure staff implements goals in service or treatment plans and revises plans as needed.
• Identify, recruit, hire, train, monitor, and supervise all direct service professional and administrative staff, adhering to YAP, Inc. personnel policies, including the matching zip code policy for recruiting direct service staff.
• Ensure staff qualifications meet requirements imposed by the referring authority or third-party payor.
• Provide staff development and training sessions as required by YAP, Inc. policies, including cross-training among staff.
• Conduct staff meetings and training sessions for program personnel; attend meetings and training as assigned by the Regional Director.
• Assist staff in creative problem-solving, including securing professional resources for participants and their families.
• Ensure participant activities address education, employment, social, and other areas of need.
• Develop discharge plans that include community linkages to support participants and families post-service.
• Ensure all required timelines and due dates are met, including submission of administrative, fiscal, billing documents, and database information.
• Manage the local program within budget parameters.
• Identify new opportunities and projects to support the growth and development of YAP, Inc. programs and services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree is required; Master’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in a community-based agency program (exceptions apply if the referring authority requires a specific degree).
• Experience working with at-risk youth and families.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365; knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
• Some understanding of insurance and third-party billing is helpful.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible schedule; some evenings may be required.
• Bilingual (Spanish speaking) is a plus.
• Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and current auto insurance coverage are required.
