About Wevise
Wewise is a nonprofit on a mission to make tech careers more attainable for underrepresented and disadvantaged communities through mentorship, education, and career opportunities. We provide access to mentors, training, educational opportunities, and careers by supporting underserved and disadvantaged people to enter and thrive in the technology industry, partnering with organizations that need mentorship and career placement programs, and helping companies find diverse candidates.
We have two programs: a free, on-demand mentorship platform that matches mentors and mentees based on specific needs, interests, background, and experience, with a focus on those who have overcome similar barriers. Our second program, the TechPath Alliance, is a city-focused initiative currently piloting in Chicago, IL, bringing together nonprofits and for-profits to run a 6-month mentoring and career development program for underserved emerging tech professionals.
About the Role
We're looking for a mission-driven Program Director to lead and scale our mentorship program. Reporting to the Chief Programs Officer, you'll own program development, build out the programs team, and help shape the future of our platform and community impact.
Responsibilities
- Design, launch, and manage programs that serve our mentorship community
- Build and lead the programs team as we scale
- Define KPIs and track program effectiveness
- Develop partnerships that amplify our mission
- Collaborate with leadership to align programs with organizational goals
Requirements
- Interest in building and scaling programs, ideally in tech or nonprofit settings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfort with data — using it to make decisions and demonstrate impact
- Ability to navigate a startup environment
- Deep commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Passion for Wevise's mission
Schedule
This role is committed to 5-10 hours per week.
