About the role
The Office of CVAD Galleries at UNT, comprising three galleries, supports the educational mission of the College of Visual Arts and Design and the university, enriching the aesthetic environment and serving as a cultural resource for the public.
Responsibilities
- Provides strategic and creative leadership for the UNT CVAD Galleries, overseeing exhibitions, programming, collections, operations, and partnerships that support the College’s educational and cultural mission.
- Develops and manages a dynamic exhibition program that showcases student, faculty, visiting, and professional artists while engaging the university and broader North Texas communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field and five years of closely related professional experience.
- Extensive knowledge of University policies and procedures related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
- Extensive knowledge of Texas rules and regulations related to functional area (or ability to rapidly assimilate).
- In depth knowledge of learning outcomes.
- Requires knowledge of best practices in assessment as it pertains to higher education and institutional effectiveness including the creation of outcomes, assessment methods and instruments, as well as data analysis, and utilization of reporting results.
- Must exercise considerable independent and professional judgment in matters of significance.
- Strong presentation, problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Strong planning and project management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of populations verbally and in writing.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to work independently.
