About the role
The Program Counselor is responsible for assisting in planning, organizing, and giving direct care to residents in the Activity Program and Social Treatment Program (STP) by current existing federal, state, and local standards, as well as our established policies and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that residents are given ample and regular opportunities to learn and practice skills for improving functioning, independence, awareness, self-care, and self-esteem. This role also ensures that residents' spiritual, emotional, recreational, and psychosocial needs are met and maintained individually.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, organizing, and providing direct care to residents in the Activity Program and Social Treatment Program (STP).
- Adhere to federal, state, and local standards, as well as established policies and procedures.
- Provide residents with opportunities to learn and practice skills for improving functioning, independence, awareness, self-care, and self-esteem.
- Address residents' spiritual, emotional, recreational, and psychosocial needs on an individual basis.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Some college preferred.
- Experience providing activities or another type of group treatment preferred.

Pay
The salary range listed represents the minimum and maximum base pay per hour at the time of posting. Final salary offered will be based on factors including but not limited to candidate's skills, experience, licensure, and program acuity.
Pay Range: $25.50 USD - $26.50 USD per hour
