Program Coordinator & Communications Liaison, Glassell Junior School
About the role
The Program Coordinator and Communications Liaison, Junior School assists with organizing various projects, functions, and school events, monitors student drop-off and pick-up, and serves as a back-up for the reception desk and in the classroom.
Responsibilities
- Assists with organizing projects, functions, and school events.
- Faculty meetings, scholarship competitions, and exhibition openings.
- Maintains student records and supervises students during arrival and dismissal.
- Supervises students sent to the office for early pick-up.
- Supports faculty by printing/preparing classroom materials, distributing supplies, and performing other duties.
- Prints and prepares classroom materials.
- Distributes supplies as needed.
- Cares for students sent to the office for early pick-up.
- Assists in the classroom as needed.
- Responds to registration inquiries via phone, email, and in person, and posts announcements regarding start of semester, holidays, school closures, etc.

- Processes student enrollment, tuition payments, and miscellaneous sales (aprons, t-shirts, bags).

- Prepares artwork (matting and framing finished work).

- Stocks, organizes, and distributes classroom/office supplies.
- Assists with special projects.
Communications/Marketing/Web
- Collaborates with the Administrative Dean & Glassell Marketing Manager to identify and prioritize digital content needs for the Glassell Junior School.
- Writing and editing text & providing images for web pages and social media pages (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).
- Works with the Administrative Dean & Glassell Marketing Manager to follow up on e-marketing and web communications.
- Continually addresses outreach needs, including promoting new course offerings and undersubscribed programs.
- Updates Glassell Junior School information on MFAH calendars and publications.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in arts, humanities or a related field preferred OR an equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable and demonstrable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Experience working with children ages 3-18 (in a school setting) preferred.
- Energetic, enthusiastic, self-starter.
